Judge Rules Public Won’t See Los Angeles Teachers’ Names With Performance Data

 

The Los Angeles Times (7/25, Watanabe) reports a court ruling issued on Wednesday says that the public will not be able to see the names of Los Angeles Unified School District teachers in connection to their job performance ratings. The state appellate court found “that keeping the names confidential served a stronger public purpose” than releasing the names along with the evaluations.
